Our school-age programs are designed for children who attend kindergarten or for 6-11-year-olds who need supervised care before or after school. The Pinckney Community Schools Transportation Department will service families to & from St Mary & Farley Hill Elementary School.

In the mornings, the school-age children may eat breakfast (brought from home). They will be provided with quiet activities and will be transported to their respective schools. On half days, children will be transported by bus to For Kid’s Sake & eat lunch from home at the center. In the afternoon, half-day children have interest center time, free play, and large group activities inside and outdoors. Children who attend afternoon care are picked up at school and return to our centers for snacks, free play, and group activities. Children who have homework will be encouraged to begin working on it after snack. As with all our programs, school-age children go outside every day.

During days when the Pinckney Community Schools are closed, our program offers care for school-age children and siblings of children currently enrolled at For Kid’s Sake on a first-come, first-served basis. No School Days often include field trips to local attractions and/or themed activities. During the summer months, school-age children love our ZANT Zone Summer Camp.

The teacher-to-child ratio in our school-age programs is generally 1:10-12.

Our Summer Camp or ZANT Zone Summer Camp program is a full-day program for children who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade. The program runs ten weeks during the summer months; families may sign up for one to ten weeks of care, two or more days per week. The first and last weeks of camp are reserved for children who are attending at least two other weeks of camp. Registration begins March 1st.

ZANT Zone Summer Camp is a safe, fun, and educational home-away-from-home where kids spend time with their peers as they explore local attractions, do themed exploration activities at the center, participate in community outreach and go to the pool, library, and local parks.
