Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Expert to Visit FKS
Do you have a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder?
Do you know someone that has a child with ASD?
Well, let’sfast forward 15 years!
Who will they be?  What will they do?  How will they get there?
Sally Burton Hoyle is an Associate Professor at Eastern Michigan University. Sally coordinates Autism Area programs and is the Director of the College Supports Program for Students with ASD. And last but not least, she has been a beloved friend of For Kids Sake for 10 years.
Sally is an “expert” in the autism field. She has studied the field extensively but she also grew up with her late brother Tim, who had autism. The individuals with ASD are the “true” experts because they are actually experiencing autism and can speak from the inside. Sally will be able to share her knowledge and experience, but more importantly, she will be bringing a guest of her own to visit FKS. Her guest is an Autistic student from Eastern Michigan University that will share their thoughts and feelings about their experience growing up as well as what they are looking forward to in their future after college at EMU.
In the hustle and bustle of our very busy lives with young children its next to impossible to imagine how we will ever get to the place where things will settle down. Lets take a look in to the future together to share resources, experiences, hopes, dreams and wishes for all that the ASD children in our lives will grow up to be.
Please RSVP to Ms Julie at  forkidssakeelc@sbcglobal.net.
